Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Production Manager with specialised expertise in the gasket and sealing industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth management and manufacturing expertise in gaskets and sealing products, along with specific knowledge and proficiency of Flexitallic products and the manufacturing processes such as spiral wound gaskets, kammprofile, and metal-clad gaskets.
Key Tasks/Responsibilities:
Controlling the operation of production plant and quality procedures. Proven proficiency in operating grooving machines to achieve high-quality kammprofile gasket consistently. Oversee and manufacture high-quality sealing products, including spiral wound gaskets, kammprofile, and metal-clad gaskets. Monitor production output to maximise efficiency and minimise cost. Good computer skills, including knowledge of AutoCAD and CNC programming. Training/Qualifications/Experience:
Training:
Formal training or apprenticeship in metal fitting, machining, or a related field. Specialised training in gasket and sealing technologies is preferred. Training in operating specific machinery relevant to gasket manufacturing, such as lathe, grooving, and plasma cutting machines is essential. Proficiency in welding techniques, especially with exotic metals, through relevant training programs is vital. Qualifications:
Certificate or diploma in mechanical engineering, machining, or a related field. Any additional certifications or qualifications related to gasket manufacturing, sealing technology, or machinery operation would be advantageous. Minimum of 5 years experience in the gasket manufacturing industry. Experience:
Planning details of production activities in terms of output quality and quantity. Manufacturing high-quality sealing products, including spiral wound gaskets, kammprofile, and metal-clad gaskets. Experience in applying engineering principles to operate various gasket machines efficiently to ensure maximum performance and productivity. Strong welding skills, particularly with exotic materials, to produce durable and reliable sealing solutions. Good knowledge of industrial health, safety and environmental procedures and standards. Candidates with a combination of relevant training, qualifications, and hands-on experience in gasket manufacturing, machining, and sealing technology, along with proficiency in operating specialised machinery and software, would be well-suited for the Production Manager role at Flexitallic Australia.
