Product Management & Development (Marketing & Communications) The OpportunityAt APA, our purpose is simple: to strengthen communities through responsible energy.We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Product Manager to join our Market Services team in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney on a Permanent Full Time Basis.Reporting to the Manager Products and Services, you will play a key role in developing and integrating new product and service offerings to meet the needs of customers and the strategic objectives of APA's revenue generating business units.Key ResponsibilitiesUtilise strong commercial acumen to develop in collaboration with revenue generating and commercial areas of the gas transmission and power business effective product and service solutionsProactively Influence commercial and business development teams in balancing non-standard or new product offerings with solution design capabilities and resourcing.Manage the new & non-standard product governance processes.Interface with core commercial, business development, IT or relevant commercial operations teams to ensure systems, system changes and tools are developed.Balance the needs of customers, commercial and business development, commercial operating teams and systems to satisfy changing contractual requirements in a rapidly changing market conditions.Your backgroundTertiary qualification in business, economics, commerce, finance or a related field and/or in engineeringExtensive experience in energy industry, strong commercial acumen and business analysis experienceExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsExperience with identifying and understanding the needs of internal and external stakeholdersPrevious experience in energy market product development (highly regarded)About the TeamAPA's power and gas assets interact with and support the efficient functioning of electricity and gas markets throughout Australia. As a part of the Operations Division, Market Services is accountable for the commercial and physical operations of APA's transmission asset portfolio including frontline customer relations, market interfaces, commercial product management, invoicing and commercial management for power assets.The Products & Services team is a passionate multi-disciplinary team focused on the operational design and establishment of new products, gas and power market advocacy and project management of product implementation and market reforms.
