Troocoo are proudly partnered with this business to recruit a Procurement & Supply Superintendent on a full-time, permanent basis, based at site in regional north-eastern New South Wales, in and around the Narrabri Shire.

Reporting into the Commercial Manager, this position will manage the procurement and warehouse function which includes the negotiation and management of all supply and service contracts for ongoing operational contracts and project-based capital requirements, as well as the supply chain, warehousing, and logistics across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead, coach and mentor a team of 4-direct reports with an additional 9-indirect reports Manage the negotiation process for key supply agreements within the operations Work with internal customers to understand procurement needs and ensure these are delivered through the larger Procurement network Review spend for nominated categories and determine appropriate contracting models, driving volume synergies where possible, whilst balancing and maintaining local service levels Develop project plans, deliverables, metrics, and milestones Act as functional representative within operations providing a link between maintenance, operations, and Group Procurement & Supply Chain Demand analysis and investigation Provide Warehouse the staff with stores management skills and advice to effectively manage inventory Manage process and system improvements within the stores Skills and Experience Previous experience in a Procurement, Contracts, Supply Chain, Logistics leadership role Proven track record of delivering savings through effective procurement practices Mining, oil & gas, construction, heavy industry exposure is preferable Experience in leading multi-level cross functional teams Tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting, Law, or a related field is preferred but not essential Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability influence at all levels Must either live or be willing to relocate to in and around the Narrabri Shire in north-eastern NSW.
