About the Role: We're looking for a driven Procurement Specialist to join our team in Maryborough, QLD . In this fast-paced role, you are responsible for purchasing inventory items, equipment, and service orders as required by the Company at the optimum quality and price to meet operational and customer requirements. This role also includes the requirement to plan and maintain inventory levels across Australia, including consideration for supply into New Zealand and to maintain inventory levels while avoiding significant stockouts or overstocking.
Your days will be busy and varied, and will include:
Inventory Planning/Forecasting: Manage inventory levels and place orders to maintain stock for international and local suppliers. Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages and stockouts. Stock Data Maintenance: Ensure accurate stock information in accounting software, including costs, prices, and stock details. Slow-moving/Obsolete Stock Management: Track and reduce slow-moving or obsolete stock in collaboration with the supply chain team. Supply Problem Reporting: Report significant supply issues to management promptly. Implementation of New Parts: Work with technical teams to introduce new parts and phase out obsolete ones. Data Reporting: Prepare and present inventory statistics for weekly and monthly meetings. Purchasing: Raise and monitor purchase orders for inventory and equipment, including international orders. Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain good relationships with suppliers and monitor their performance. Shipping Coordination: Plan and oversee international shipments and documentation. Technology and ERP Project Support: Assist with the implementation of the new ERP system and utilize basic CAD software to modify part drawings as required. About You: You will thrive in this role if you have a positive attitude to work and are willing to be trained.
