The core capability requirements for this role are:• Identify and evaluate opportunities to enhance QPS business improvement.• Provide strategic direction in the planning, delivery and support of business services, programs and projects, including resource deployment, policy alignment, change management, communications, stakeholder engagement, expenditure, staff development and counselling.• Provide expert advice, support and guidance to leadership teams, stakeholder groups and program and project teams in support of deliverables.• Lead and manage assigned program and project activities using contemporary program and project management and related frameworks, methodologies, and policies.• Provide guidance to stakeholders that facilitates informed business decisions, improves business processes and meets changing business needs.• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with members of the QPS and partner agencies to deliver initiatives in accordance with prioritised business objectives.• Monitor and evaluate the progress of work deliverables, initiatives and business support priorities.• Develop and implement change management and communications initiatives that complement business improvements.Role RequirementsQualification• A Tertiary qualification in contemporary Project Management or equivalent industry experience would be highly desirable. Tertiary qualification in Computer Science/IT or equivalent industry experience would be highly desirable.Technical / Operational / Educational experience• Experience in managing a diverse group of IT professionals would be highly desirable (Applicable to Forensic role only).Other• This is a temporary position until the 31 January 2025, with the possibility of extension. If selected, public service officers from other agencies will be seconded for the period concerned, subject to agreement and release by the home agency.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
