Are you an experienced educational leader, with a passion and demonstrated ability to engage in the Darwin community? The Darwin Region are welcoming applications for two Principal positions. An opportunity exists at Nightcliff Primary School and Stuart Park Primary School starting 15 July 2024. 

The Principal plays a vital role in delivering the strategic plan of the Department of Education and is the leading educational professional, who inspires students, staff and community members to optimise the learning of all students.

Nightcliff Primary School and Stuart Park Primary School are located in the Darwin suburbs just minutes away from the CBD. Our schools are two of the largest primary schools in Darwin with over 570 students enrolled at each school. Nightcliff Primary School has a multicultural demographic of 21% Indigenous and 53% English as Another Language/Dialect (EAL/D). 

Stuart Park Primary School has a multicultural demographic of 10% Indigenous and 30% English as Another Language / Dialect (EAL/D).

The successful applicants will:
Demonstrated history in improving learning outcomes. Develop and maintain strong community relationships.Lead the development and implementation of the school's vision and strategic direction of the school with a focus on continuous improvement, innovation, research, a shared respectful culture that challenges and sets high expectations and strengthens partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.Effectively manage school resources; implement clear evidence-based improvement plans and policies; determine program priorities and the allocation of teaching and other resources to meet and manage diverse needs.Establish systematic methods for collecting and interpreting evidence to identify excellent teaching and learning; use data to improve school performance and share best management practice and use of resources appropriately.Drive a culture of achievement and continuous improvement through constructive management practices, ensuring research, innovation and creativity and review the effectiveness of processes.In return, the successful applicants will be rewarded with many incentives and benefits including but not limited to an attractive remuneration package up to $219,840, up to 12 weeks recreation leave per annum, three week personal leave per annum, cultural leave, option to salary sacrifice, relocation assistance and living allowances, flexible working arrangements, a supportive leadership team, peer group and a dynamic team to support to grow and develop your career and opportunities for long term employment with the Northern Territory Government.
