Access the National Relay Service In the role of Principal Communications Advisor, you will provide communications advice and support to the Director (Business Services) and other senior officers. You will lead a small team of communication professionals, to deliver communication and media projects and initiatives for the Policy, Planning and Investment (PPI) division.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

Lead a small dynamic team of communication professionals to provide communication and media direction and advice for the coordination of a communication and media program for PPI division.Coordinate and review input into media requests, providing timely and accurate sound advice and recommendations. Requiring strong communication capabilities, both written and verbal with strong attention to detail.Manage the development, production, delivery and evaluation of communication materials including electronic media, face-to-face communication, strategies, communication training, events, sponsorship activities, meetings, and printed materials.Cultivate and maintain key relationships with stakeholders relevant to media, communication, engagement, and integration activities and demonstrate the ability to liaise and communicate confidently with a diverse range of stakeholders.Coordinate training for the team and broader division on best practice communication, digital engagement tools and media.Establish monitoring and reporting of communication and engagement activities, with a view to improving and streamlining processes and procedures.Identify opportunities for innovative, customer-focused solutions that encourage collaboration. The ability to create clear and engaging visual content and familiarity with design software is highly desirable.To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

Although not a mandatory requirement for this position, qualifications in communications, journalism or a related discipline would be highly desirable.Demonstrated experience leading teams delivering communication and media advice, with a proven ability to perform under pressure while achieving results.Demonstrated experience in internal communication strategies and tactical execution with a very high level of written and verbal communication skill.Experience in speech writing and PowerPoint presentation generation for senior executives.Experience in video production, script writing, and graphic design preferred.Additional Benefits this role offers:
