Job Category selected should not be state government – pick the most relevantAbout the role: The Principal Analyst will develop and implement strategy to effectively commission and manage Victoria's Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) system and services to support financial and operational sustainability and meet the needs of consumers.
The role involves developing effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including Health Services and NGO and a range of program and policy areas within the department.
The successful applicant will demonstrate sound leadership and people management skills, as well as an ability to influence others to maximise efficiency and effectiveness of the Victorian health workforces and improve outcomes for Victorians.

How you'll make a difference: The key accountability for our successfiull candidate will be to commission and manage Victoria's AOD system and services to support financial and operational sustainability and meet the needs of consumers. This will include overseeing the development of policy and initiatives that meet government and departmental objectives within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate: Tertiary qualification in health or a related field is desirable.  A strong understanding of the Victorian health system, and knowledge of the department and its operating processes and information systems is essential.
