Job Description About the role With dual reporting lines to the CEO and the Director of Operations, the Practice Excellence and Service Quality Lead is responsible for enhancing the organisation's service quality by delivering practical solutions that support practice excellence in line with NDIS Practice Standards, governance requirements, risk management, audit and compliance frameworks. This role involves leading a culture of continuous quality improvement to ensure safeguarding and service excellence. The role will work closely with the CEO and leadership teams to develop, drive and evaluate the organisation's Quality, Safeguarding and Risk strategy.
About you To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced leader who can demonstrate awareness, understanding and navigation of the unique social, economic and political environments particularly related to regional National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), for-purpose service delivery. In consultation with the Operations team, you will use your highly refined interpersonal skills to build positive relationships and support effective and efficient risk profiling of new and existing services and develop fit-for-purpose solutions to enhance the quality of services.
Disability or similar sector related industry experience is highly valued, coupled with the ability to provide practical advice to support service excellence. You will have a well-developed understanding of human and community services program delivery, management, governance and risk. 
In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:
Excellent interpersonal skills : Ability to build and nurture stakeholder relationships to support quality in new and existing services Accountability mindset : High levels of judgement, negotiation skills, environmental awareness and insight to progress organisational directions and outcomes Leadership and management : Flexibility to lead, manage and motivate a diverse team outside of direct line management control to achieve organisational outcomes Operational experience : Background in the human services, community or disability sector (or related industry) with knowledge and understanding of the NDIS and the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge Why work with us?
