Academic Salary Level A6 from $109,301 + 17% superannuation

Our team of researchers lead key internationally competitive research from molecules to medicines, from patient to policy across a range of therapeutic areas.
We are currently seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Neurosciences who will work under broad supervision, performing tasks independently to deliver against goals.
They will choose appropriate methods of work and plan and prioritise tasks.
They are a subject matter expert and provide advice as the first point of contact for their expert area.
They also resolve routine matters related to responsibilities and collaborate with others to resolve complex matters.
Your key responsibilities will be to:Conduct research, scholarly or professional activity, independently or as part of a team, contributing to discipline knowledge.Develop and refine independent research skills under the supervision of more senior academic staff (with an increasing degree of autonomy).Ensure quality, standards and excellence are maintained in any research activities and output.Provide informal mentoring and advice to students within discipline (where appropriate).Carry out administrative tasks and contribute to faculty/school meetings.Contribute to a positive workplace culture in which diversity of thought, contribution, collaboration, excellence and achieving outcomes are valued and enabled.Interact with students, staff and other members of the University community in a professional, collegial and respectful manner.Maintain an understanding of the University's strategic agenda and contribute to furthering that agenda.Contribute to the strategic direction of the Faculty/School/Portfolio as articulated through the Faculty/School/Portfolio's Strategic Plan/s or equivalent.Undertake other duties and contribute to projects appropriate within the classification level as required.About youHave been awarded or submitted a PhD in neuroscience and human brain imaging.Have a developing research profile evidenced by original, high-quality and independent research in functional brain imaging.Have experience in high resolution functional magnetic resonance imaging and electroencephalography data acquisition and analysis.Have experience running clinical trials and experience collecting and processing blood samples.Have experience with patient recruitment and assessment.To keep our community safe, please be aware of our COVID safety precautions which form our conditions of entry for all staff, students and visitors coming to campus.
