Why Your Role Matters: As a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Infection Analytics Program at the Kirby Institute, you will contribute to research efforts tackling some of the world's most important devastating infections.
The role will involve applying various quantitative techniques to model and analyze clinical and biological data, as well as developing familiarity with the underlying biology and the clinical and biological literature.
The Postdoctoral Researcher is part of the Infection Analytics Program, reports to an Associate Professor within the Infection Analytics Program, and has no direct reports.
Who You Are: A post-graduate degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, physics, public health, psychology, computing, or engineering; relevant work experience is also acceptable.
A PhD is highly desirable but not essential for the right candidate.Significant experience or demonstrated ability in data analysis, preferably combined with analytical and quantitative skills and experience in data-fitting.Ability to undertake high-quality research.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.Ability to work productively within a team and collaborate across disciplines, while also being able to take initiative and work independently when required.A demonstrated track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals is also desirable.Benefits and Culture: UNSW offers a competitive salary and access to a plethora of UNSW perks, including:
