Government Experience Essential
Do you have a government background and sound experience in reviewing and writing policy, ministerial briefings and cabinet submissions AND awesome communication skills and a great work attitude?
I have multiple opportunities to work with some amazing government departments, great teams providing strategic and expert advice to senior staff and executive in various agencies including health, disability, transport and education. Your stakeholder engagement, time management and organisational skills will ensure the effective communication and coordination of information collection and flow between various departments.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Management, coordination and quality review of cabinet submissions and ministerial/parliamentary briefings addressing various matters through the department
Ensuring a calendar and timetable for briefings and reporting inputs is planned and maintained to facilitate compliance with legislative requirements
Researching, reviewing and writing policy and interpreting legislation
Maintain efficient and productive relationships with key stakeholders and departments to ensure timely delivery of policy, briefings and submissions
Managing projects, project timelines, action plans and project reporting and documentation
Stakeholder engagement activity
Ideally you will possess:
Experience in the government sector
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and the ability to convey complex information in a clear, succinct manner while considering target audience and desired outcome
Sound analytical skills to identify, evaluate and address issues and an ability to plan and manage tasks, research and associated data with due regard to policy
