The Housing and Infrastructure Branch is seeking APS 5 Policy Officers and APS 6 Senior Policy Officers to fill ongoing and non-ongoing roles. The advertised positions are based in Woden, ACT and Darwin NT; however, other NIAA office locations may be considered.
The Housing and Infrastructure Branch is a small branch with an inclusive, welcoming corporate culture. prepare written communication materials with limited guidancelead and manage and complete projects and work deliverables and be proactive in identifying issues and contributing to their resolutionidentify and implement business improvement activities always with consideration of riskcontribute to the Agency's strategies and reform initiatives, including helping others connect how your work aligns to Agency plans and objectivesresearch, critically analyse and respond to technical enquiries and policy mattersleverage the expertise of others to assist in high quality responses and resolutionmanage and lead a small team and/or mentor and support junior staffdemonstrate capability and commitment to continue to develop cultural competency.You'll need to be an Australian Citizen to work for NIAA.
You'll need to agree to pre-employment screening checks to work for NIAA. This role also requires a Baseline Vetting (Protected) Security clearance. We may also conduct further integrity checks during the course of your employment.
