The Royal Children's Hospital's (RCH) Vision is "A world where all kids thrive". RCH is a cornerstone member of the Melbourne Children's Campus, partnering with Murdoch Children's Research Institute, The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics and The Royal Children's Hospital Foundation.
RCH has cared for the children and young people of Victoria for more than 150 years since it was founded in 1870. A full range of paediatrics and adolescent health services are provided plus tertiary and quaternary care for the most critically ill and medically complex patients in Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and other states around Australia and overseas.
About the Role: There is an ongoing, full-time role available at 80 hours per fortnight within the Physiotherapy Department. This role is part of our Paediatric Rotation Program (PRP), which will offer you the opportunity to rotate on a four-monthly basis between various specialty areas, developing your skills and experience across a wide range of clinical specialties and working towards a career in paediatrics. As part of the PRP you will provide physiotherapy services to children and adolescents as part of a multidisciplinary team.
What You'll Achieve: Provide evidence-based physiotherapy service to patients referred by designated units in collaboration with supervising clinicians.Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure delivery of a holistic, streamlined approach to care that best meets the needs of the patient and their family.Work in a flexible manner and participate in other duties as allocated consistent with skill level to ensure adequate cover and clinical care across the whole Physiotherapy Department service.Achieving and maintaining competency in relevant skills in line with departmental requirements relevant to the role.Your Skills and Experience: Hold a Physiotherapy degree qualification from an accredited course/university and registration to practice as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA.Physiotherapists with work experience should have experience working in large hospitals with high acuity caseloads.New graduates should have successfully completed placements in large hospitals with high acuity caseload.Other Requirements: Current National Criminal Record Check, or willing to obtain.Valid Working with Children Check.Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willing to obtain.Compliance with RCH's "Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases" procedure.Application Process: To apply, you will need a resume and a tailored cover letter outlining your skills, experience, and suitability for the position in line with the requirements of the position description.
