The Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Senior School Physics Teacher for a 12 month fixed term contract commencing in 2025.
The successful candidate will engage with students from Years 7 to 12 and contribute to the delivery of both the SACE and IB Physics curricula.
A key focus will be instilling a love of learning and scientific inquiry, ensuring students reach their full potential in Physics.
It is desirable that the candidate can also teach Middle School General Science and Mathematics.

What the role will involve
Engaging and Challenging Teaching: Inspire and guide Senior School students through the study of advanced-level Physics, while also teaching Middle School General Science and Mathematics if required.
Collaborative Planning and Delivery: Work within a dynamic and collaborative Science Department, contributing to the planning, teaching, and assessment processes.
Academic Excellence: Support students in preparing for SACE Stage 1 and 2 Physics and IB Diploma Physics courses, ensuring high standards of academic achievement.
Innovative Learning Environments: You will be encouraged to explore innovative teaching methods that promote scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving across a range of science and mathematics subjects.
What we are looking for
A qualified teacher with demonstrated experience teaching SACE and/or IB Physics at Senior School Level.
Experience teaching Middle School General Science.
Experience teaching Middle School Mathematics will be highly regarded.
A strong passion for Science and Physics.
You will be a dynamic and engaging educator, able to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
A commitment to fostering academic excellence, contributing to a high-performing department that is forward-thinking and student-centred.
