You could be one of our 2700 committed team members who are up to the challenge. About the roleAs the Payroll Officer, you are integral to the success of V/Line's People & Integrity Group. You will aid the payroll team in delivering timely payments to V/Line Operational staff. This fast-paced position will see you receiving physical time sheets and processing overtime and allowances according to the relevant industrial agreement. Key Accountabilities include: Preparation of payroll for fortnightly paid employeesInterpretation of Enterprise Agreements, as applicable to payroll allowancesProviding advice and responding to employee queries regarding the payroll functionMaintenance of the Payroll system, updating timesheet data daily This position may be required to perform overtime, to support the timely delivery of our fortnightly payroll deadlines. About youYou are an adaptable team player, looking to grow your payroll knowledge in a complex environment. You are customer-focused with a proven track record of accuracy and ability to manage your time effectively.You will enjoy working within a supportive team, that is always looking to improve their processes and service delivery to the business. Our ideal candidate will possess the following: Demonstrated payroll experience and in-depth understanding of payroll systems (essential)Understanding of industrial agreements and modern awardsPrevious experience working in an industrial industry, supporting labour workforcesADP Payforce system knowledge (desirable)Demonstrated alignment to V/Line's values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.
