About The Role As the Payroll Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for Thiess Australia Group. Reporting to the Manager and working closely with the Payroll team, you will contribute to achieving shared goals, actively support change initiatives, and demonstrate a commitment to our core principles of integrity, accountability, innovation, and delivery. · Process the wages payroll with precision and efficiency · Maintain employee records in accordance with HR/IR instructions. · Review pay journals and reports to confirm accurate payments. · Collaborate with the team to complete the entire payroll function. About You This role requires active contributions to team objectives, adept conflict resolution, and a strong commitment to supporting transformative change initiatives. The preferred candidate should ideally possess a Senior Certificate and demonstrate prior experience in roles requiring a high degree of numeracy. Previous experience in payroll is a must. To excel in this role, the Payroll Officer must exhibit clear and effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Additionally, proficiency in analytical and critical thinking is essential, complemented by a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with Thiess systems.
