Part-time initially, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time based on demonstrated experience. We're on the lookout for an experienced and capable addition to our kitchen team at Brunswick. While our team already has amazing all-rounders, we're seeking someone with proven kitchen experience to join us. A minimum of 1-2 years in a commercial kitchen is required. Due to our current hiring needs, only applicants that meet this requirement will be considered. With a preference for candidates who already have experience in ice cream making or pastry.
To be considered for this role you'll ideally be able to stay in the role (provided it's a good fit) for a minimum of 12 months.
In this position, you'll need to enter with a mastery of tasks like making honeycomb, caramel, and meringue, all while maintaining a fast pace of production and staying on top of product quality and cleanliness. Problem-solving skills are essential, particularly in the dynamic environment of natural ice cream production. This role has some customer service requirements so an ability to chat comfortably with customers and a strong knowledge of our brand is a must. Expect a mix of day and evening shifts, (not at the same time) including some weekends till 10:15pm.
Your responsibilities will encompass everything from creating new flavours and specials to ensuring the kitchen is well-organised and stocked with fresh ingredients.
