Job Description Demonstrate the "Passion for Excellence"   through serving our guests with flair and professionalism, ensuring that their requests are quickly and efficiently achieved. Ensure all guests are provided with personalised service and that the "Essence of Pleasure" is achieved. Work with Executive Pastry Chef and Assistant Pastry Chef to supervise and support pastry operation production and delivery for the kitchen. Embody the art of French hospitality through a "can do" attitude. Perform tasks within a timely manner. Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination. Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships. Train junior ambassadors on pastry knowledge and skills. Delegate duties and responsibilities to employees to ensure service demands are met. Maintain excellent presentation standards and cost control for all items produced by pastry. Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues. Be aware and execute departmental targets and strive to achieve them as part of the wider team. Assist Senior Chefs with menu preparation and ensure adequate supplies are available for service. Ensure that all service and brand standards are met while on shift. Always displays a professional appearance, representing our Sofitel brand.  Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends, nights and public holidays. A genuine passion for gastronomy and the art and flair for creating unique and memorable dining experiences. Working understanding of food safety standards and HACCP  Previous experience in high-volume kitchens. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
