Salary Range - CT Level 1 to CT Level 9 -
$85,094 to $122,036 PLUS Tier 1 POR Allowance PLUS super

Primary Objective:
As a member of the Pastoral Care and Wellbeing Team, lead a House within the vertical system to promote engagement and formation supporting positive wellbeing and learning outcomes.
The duties and responsibilities of this position are in addition to the employee's primary role and responsibilities as a Classroom Teacher.
Head of House Responsibilities:
Lead a team of students and staff to develop and enhance College and House identity, pride and spirit.
Manage students to meet the standards and expectations of the College as outlined in the Student Handbook, the Pastoral Care and Wellbeing policy, the Student Management policy and other relevant policies.
Maintain regular communication with Parents / Guardians and Staff on relevant matters regarding the wellbeing and learning of students.
Facilitate opportunities that support the development of student engagement, voice and leadership.
Implement a proactive approach based on restorative principles that supports positive relationships within the College community.
Support teachers with strategies to effectively manage students to support positive wellbeing and learning outcomes.
Implement low to mid-level student management strategies in accordance with College expectations and documentation, and assist with the management of critical incidents and incidents of significant concern.
Keep accurate records relating to student management, wellbeing and communication on the student management system.
Support the AP: Teaching and Learning in the Academic Reporting process.
Refer students to the College Nurse, College Counsellor and College Chaplain to support student health and wellbeing.
Support the Deputy Principal in the running of assemblies.
Assist the APRE in ensuring that the College is Catholic in its identity and practice through service activities.
Attend and actively participate in Pastoral Care and Wellbeing meetings.
Ensure that the Pastoral Care and Wellbeing program operates in accordance with College and System policies and procedures.
Monitor student attendance data and implement strategies that support excellent student attendance.
Lead a team of Homeroom Teachers and House Staff to coordinate the safe operation of House and College activities to support student engagement.
Support the College with the orientation, induction and formation of new students.
Act as a School Safeguarding Contact Person in the area of Child Safety.
Contribute regular articles to the newsletter, yearbook and communications informing and promoting the Pastoral Care and Wellbeing program / vertical House System.
Any other duties as directed by the identified member of the Strategic Leadership Team.
