Reporting to the CEO, the Operations Support Officer is responsible for a wide range of administrative and operational duties across the IAS, with a primary focus on marketing, communications, events, and community engagement.The role will work closely with IAS staff and will collaborate frequently with IAS athletes, coaches, partners, and other external stakeholders.This is a fulltime position based out of the IAS Office within the University of Wollongong and operating predominately during standard business hours Monday - Friday. Some weekend and after-hours work is required from time to time, as will be the need to travel across the Illawarra region to support IAS activities.Key Responsibilities & ExpectationsAdhering to the Academy's endorsed Marketing, Media, and Communications plan, develop and promote initiatives that enhance the profile of the Academy and the athletes within the region.Coordinate, maintain, and grow the Academy database using our CRM system.Coordinate and maintain the Academy website and social media platforms, including sourcing and developing content and monitoring relevant statistical data.Produce and publish Academy e-newsletters (EDM) as required, as well as our annual report for distribution to Academy athletes, partners, and stakeholders.Coordinate the integration and promotion of Academy partners and their initiatives.Foster and maintain media partnerships to increase local coverage of the Academy and the athletes.Maintain the Academy image and graphics library for both print and digital publications.Coordinate community engagement opportunities for the Academy and athletes, which align with the values of the Academy.Assist with the administration of Academy Education and Sport Programs as directed by the Sport Programs Manager.Assist with the administration of a variety of Academy events as directed by the CEO.Assist Academy staff with general administration duties to ensure the effective day-to-day operations of the Academy.Ensure all operational and administrative activities are conducted in accordance with Illawarra Academy of Sport (IAS) policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to marketing, communications, events, and community engagement.Contribute to and maintain professional standards within the Academy office.Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of various initiatives and events in pursuit of continual improvement.Report any significant issues affecting the Academy in a timely manner to the CEO.Attendance at Academy events as required.Other tasks as reasonably requested by the CEO from time to time.
