Your role as an Open Cut Examiner will provide safe, effective & efficient operation of these world-class machines.

The role will require you to:
Have a thorough understanding of the QLD Coal Mining Legislation and how they pertain to individual and supervisor obligations.Demonstrate understanding of associated plant and machinery within the mining environment and how to apply "best" fit for the same.Be experienced in leading personnel in a mining environment, including prioritising tasks and allocation of same to crew members.Have well-developed operating skills on a wide range of earthmoving equipment.QualificationsS1, S2, S3 & G2 (mandatory)Current Open Class Drivers Licence (mandatory)Demonstrated high level of communication, analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated skills in risk awareness, hazard identification and a strong commitment to safety performanceAble to manage, coach and lead operators and establish an effective teamAble to demonstrate courage to uphold standards, policies and proceduresBasic computer literacy - ability to use MS Office suiteSenior First Aid Certificate or higherRIIENV301 - Conduct Atmospheric Testing and Certificate of Proficiency in Mine Gases and Gas Testing.Additional InformationOur benefits include: Successful candidates will experience excellent working conditions with a focus on safety and quality.7/7 Day/Night rotating rosterExcellent salary package and benefitsCamp Accommodation or Local Housing AllowanceOpportunity to work in a culture that is positive, agile and promotes innovation.We welcome applications from all diversity groups.
