What we are looking for: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will assess the functional abilities and needs of individuals with disabilities, focusing specifically on teens and adults. You will develop personalised intervention plans and implement therapeutic strategies to promote independence and enhance quality of life. This role offers opportunities to build a specific caseload aligned with your experience and interest areas.
Key responsibilities: Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to evaluate clients' functional capabilities, environmental factors, and personal goals.Develop individualised treatment plans based on assessment findings, client preferences, and NDIS guidelines.Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and strategies to address physical, cognitive, and sensory impairments.Collaborate closely with clients, families, caregivers, and allied health professionals to coordinate treatment goals effectively.Provide education and training to clients and their support networks on adaptive techniques, equipment use, and environmental modifications.Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting intervention plans as necessary to optimise outcomes.Maintain accurate clinical documentation, progress notes, and reports in compliance with organisational policies and NDIS requirements.Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.Qualifications and requirements: Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist.Full Australian work rights.Current Drivers License.Current National Police Clearance, or ability to obtain.Current Working with Children Check (OCHRE card), or ability to obtain.Current NDIS Workers Screening Clearance, or ability to obtain.Experience in disability services, preferably within a NDIS framework.Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills, with proficiency in conducting comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations.Knowledge of assistive technology, equipment prescription, and environmental modifications.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Commitment to delivering person-centred care and promoting the rights and dignity of individuals with disabilities.Diversity statement: Woollybutt Specialist Services values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer, welcoming applicants from diverse backgrounds including disability, cultural and linguistic diversity, LGBTQI+, veterans, carers, and Indigenous Australians.
