Southern. IML Pathology, a Sonic Healthcare subsidiary, is seeking to recruit a scientist to work full time in our regional pathology laboratory situated in Nowra. Nowra is located in the Shoalhaven region 2.5 hours south of Sydney and 30 minutes from Jervis Bay. This position is an integral part of the service we provide to the local private hospital and medical community.
The successful applicant will be responsible for a range of laboratory clinical tasks including Biochemistry, Haematology, and Blood Bank. Participation in the after-hours on-call roster is also a part of this position.
Southern. IML Pathology is looking for an applicant who can:
Deal with clients in a professional manner.
Use positive language using clear communication.
Demonstrate a high level of accuracy: pay attention to details.
Provide information to clients in a competent, clear, and concise manner.
Demonstrate proven troubleshooting skills to resolve matters as they arise.
Be proactive in dealing with clients.
Multitask.
Work independently and cooperatively in a busy department.
Work flexible shifts in a rotating roster.
The successful applicant will preferably be a multi-skilled scientist. Relevant tertiary pathology qualifications and previous pathology laboratory experience are essential. The successful applicant is required to reside within 30 minutes traveling time of the Nowra Laboratory to satisfy on-call requirements.
