New Crown is a boutique building surveying consultancy based in Sydney, NSW.
We are experts in all aspects of the BCA, Equitable Access, and Crown Certification.
As consultants, we offer hands-on assistance throughout the entire building cycle to ensure compliance with the latest regulatory obligations.

Role Description
New Crown is seeking a Building Surveyor / Building Regulations Consultant to join our team.

In this busy hands-on role, you will provide BCA/Access advice and Crown certification to a broad range of clients, providing solutions, and building strong professional relationships.
This is a very client-focused consultancy, aiming to provide the best service across NSW as well as working in a casual, friendly, and non-judgmental working environment.

This is a full-time on-site role, and you will be required to work from the office 5 days a week (hybrid working arrangements will be considered after your probation period).
We will not consider any applications outside of the Sydney metropolitan area for this reason.

Qualifications
A degree in building surveying, access consulting qualification.
Registration with NSW Fair Trading is desirable.
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a BCA Consultant, Access Consultant, Building Certifier, or similar role.
Ability to write BCA and Access reports.
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Leadership capacity to step into a more senior role, mentoring/assisting junior staff is desirable.
Understanding the Building Code of Australia (BCA), Premises Standards, AS1428.1, etc.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with relevant software applications.
Experience with Blue Beam is desirable.
Must be Australian citizen or permanent resident; or have Australian work rights.

Office location in Earlwood (closest train station Bardwell Park is a 6-minute walk, City bus stop is a 2-minute walk, or unrestricted parking available locally).
