The National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) is Australia's independent expert regulator for health and safety, structural integrity, well integrity and environmental management for all offshore energy operations and greenhouse gas storage activities in Commonwealth waters, and in coastal waters where regulatory powers and functions have been conferred.
NOPSEMA also administers the functions of the Offshore Infrastructure Regulator (OIR), for the offshore renewables industry. This includes the regulation of work health and safety, infrastructure integrity, and environmental management for offshore renewable energy infrastructure activities.

Role: NOPSEMA is recruiting an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join its Digital Transformation Team, based in our Perth Office.
The Senior Business Analyst supports the development and implementation of digital strategies, policies, frameworks and platforms by undertaking research and analysis from a NOPSEMA regulatory and business perspective and manages and coordinates projects to deliver desired outcomes for the Digital Transformation Program (DTP).
Key Responsibilities: The Senior Business Analyst will undertake analysis of a range of business, ICT and operational issues and present results to assist the Agency in its decision making.
You will gather and document requirements, identify business needs and collaborate with stakeholders to implement solutions that align with the Agency's strategic objectives.
The successful candidate will build, create and maintain process and data models to enhance business capability. You will also prepare high level reports and briefing papers, outlining options and recommendations for consideration by various stakeholders.
In this role, you will identify and manage risks and issues relating to project activities, also you will develop business cases and benefits realisation.
What are we looking for? We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with the following attributes:
Demonstrated experience in ICT business analysis, problem solving, issue analysis, formulation of options and implementation of solutions in a large government or corporate environment. Demonstrated experience of project delivery in a complex structured environment using methodologies such as PRINCE2 and AGILE and frameworks such as SCRUM, Kanban and Lean. Strong conceptual and analytical skills, with a proven ability to understand complex applications, user cases, workflows and identification of innovative solutions using structured methodologies such as RUP and frameworks i.e. UML. Demonstrated knowledge of relevant ICT trends and emerging issues in relation to digitisation. Ability to build productive working relationships with a range of stakeholders in various contexts, using exceptional communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to interpret and present complex information clearly, concisely and effectively. A relevant tertiary qualification and eligibility for membership to a professional body in ICT is desirable.
