Positions are available at Portland & Heywood Veterinary Clinic for full-time mixed practice veterinarians. We are looking for veterinarians to join our team and contribute to our vision of outstanding veterinary care.
These positions would suit veterinarians who are a great team player, enthusiastic with good communication skills. Key tasks associated with the role include:
Perform clinical veterinary work that ensures high standards of patient care including, but not limited to:
Routine consultations, examinations and diagnosis;
Surgical procedures;
Radiographic procedures;
Pathological testing in accordance with infection control protocols;
Surgical autopsy and euthanasia;
Communicate diagnosis and treatment plans to clients; and
General animal care.
Promote preventative and proactive evidence-based medicine that is consistent with best health and welfare outcomes for patients and long-term value for money for clients.
Actively contribute to the delivery of herd health and reproduction programs.
Take direction from lead veterinarians and seek guidance where required.
Perform on-call and after-hours duties as rostered.
Enhance client relationships through the proactive delivery of customer service that demonstrates high levels of communication, empathy, and care.
Participate in the development and support of initiatives that aim to grow The Vet Group’s revenue through the attraction of new clients and delivery of additional services to existing clients.
Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of client records and invoicing.
Salary dependant on experience. Continuing education is encouraged and supported.
