As a large open cut mining operation in the Northern Territory, McArthur River Mining allows you the opportunity to make a difference in a fast-paced and exciting environment.Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will be accountable for developing daily and weekly schedules that align with the monthly schedule and achieve monthly targets.
This will be completed through detailed planning, engaging stakeholders, understanding monthly schedules, projects and costs, dump construction methodologies, and long-term strategies.
Driving processes that involve validating inputs and reconciling previous performance is the responsibility of the engineer and is an integral part of the planning process to ensure the most efficient plan can be developed.
These include the short-term dump design process and weekly reconciliation process.About the role: Creation of weekly schedules and assisting with monthly schedulingProvide guidance for other technical staff, planners, and support at planning meetingsLiaise with Maintenance teams to optimise equipment maintenance schedulingProcess owner for short-term dump design work and inspection processesResponsible for ensuring the weekly reconciliation meeting figures are correct and updatedLiaising with the projects team to coordinate resources and communicate requirements and interactions at a monthly and weekly levelUnderstanding monthly dumping sequences and dumping construction methodologies to assist in managing priorities, resources, and interactionsEnsuring all designs uploaded to Engineering Master or released to Production have followed the correct process and signoffsRoster and Location:15 days on, 13 days offBased at McArthur River Mine, NTAbout You:Bachelor of Engineering majoring in Mining or similar relevant tertiary qualification from a recognised tertiary institutionDemonstrated knowledge of mining engineering systems in open pit metalliferous mines that includes a minimum of three years' experiencePrevious experience with mine design and scheduling software (Vulcan, Deswik)For further information, please contact:Via Email:
