Job Description Reporting to the Payroll Operations Manager, your role will include:
Completing monthly and fortnightly payrolls, which includes all data entry, payroll processing, and end of period reporting. Processing online leave applications, change requests, superannuation, work cover, and salary packaging items. Ensuring all payroll systems are up to date, payroll adjustments are appropriately authorised and recorded. Completing month-end and year-end close processes. Analysing and checking all payroll information for accuracy. Staying informed about new legislation and ensuring payroll is processed accordingly. Ensuring controls are in place and completed to reduce and/or minimise risk. Responding to queries and requests for information in a timely manner, including investigating complaints or issues regarding pays. Ensuring internal processes are captured for all aspects of payroll and are easily accessible. Performing other ad hoc tasks as required. The Successful Applicant We are seeking experienced payroll candidates who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key competencies include:
Strong knowledge and experience with payroll operations (end-to-end processing). Broad understanding of payroll functions, procedures, and processes. Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation. Experience with iChris / Chris 21 will be looked on favourably, but is not a prerequisite. Ability to work in a team.
