About the Opportunity A new and exciting opportunity has become available within our Heatherton office for an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to support the quality assurance processes and legislation to ensure safe, legal and quality products within specification for our customers through co-ordination, communication, analysis, reporting and general support. Additionally, you will be responsible to ensure that products, services, and processes meet established standards of quality and reliability.

Tell me about the role Developing and Implementing QA Processes: Design, implement, and maintain QA protocols to ensure consistent product quality including overseeing the testing of products. Analyzing Quality Data and Trends: Collect and analyze data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement. Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Category Managers, Suppliers and other Stakeholders to ensure quality processes are understood and followed locally and overseas. Creating and Maintaining Quality Documentation: Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection records, test results, and compliance reports. Developing Training Programs: Assist in creating training materials or conducting training sessions on quality standards, procedures, and best practices. Ensuring Compliance: Verify that products meet regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies. Recommending Process Improvements: Identify areas for improvement in production or processes to reduce waste, optimize efficiency, and enhance product quality. You're Likely a Match If you have A strong understanding of trade practices, Australian Consumer Law, ACCC legislation and other laws and standards applicable to the role, an appreciation of their importance and a demonstrated ability to follow them. Understanding of data-driven insights generation to provide recommendations and develop an action plan. Understanding of retail insights and practices. Knowledge of Hardware or Other industry, market, trends and the end-to-end supply chain lifecycle e.g. vendor/warehouse/hardware/retail/wholesale/independents an advantage. Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory standards. Understanding of the independent retail landscape. Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility legislation. Understanding of IT and business computing or analytical systems. Proficiency with standards for sustainability and ethical sourcing compliance.
