Mechanical Fitter – Ventia Wollongong – QRT Ore Prep About the Role The Ore Preparation Area consists of the Sinter Plant and the Raw Materials Handling Area. The Sinter Plant's major function is to produce sinter of the right size and composition to encourage even smelting in the blast furnace. The Port Kembla Steelworks has achieved Responsible Steel certification, which recognises the sustainability of the operations across several indicators, including social, environmental and governance. The Steelworks is only the fourth steelmaker in the world to receive this certification and the first steelmaking site accredited in the Asia Pacific AND WE WANT YOU TO BE A PART OF IT by joining Ventia as a Mechanical Fitter.
