Sedgman are currently seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Designer to join our Process Engineering team in Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities Of The Role Process plant layouts including piping and pumping, 3D modelling and detailed engineering drawings from conceptual sketches through to detailed design, under the direction of Lead Drafter or Lead Engineer Contribute technical and design assistance to provide engineering design solutions in consultation with Lead Drafter or Lead Engineer Demonstrate high standard of personal safety and safe design practices Ensure drafting and review processes are completed.
Review drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with Sedgman Standards.
Execute checking of design drawings and participate in squad checks as directed Ensure project time and cost are met - monitor effectiveness of designs, scheduling of work, resource requirements and review compliance with project execution plan (schedule) and client expectations.
Support the continuous improvement of design systems used by the organisation and investigate new drafting techniques and drafting equipment and recommend changes to standard practices What are we looking for?
