ABOUT THE ROLE As a JJ's Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Maintenance Mechanic, you will play an integral role within our workshop team in our Canberra (Hume) depot. New Role due to business growth in ACT - work with us!! You will report to the Workshop Manager and will be conducting all facets of preventative maintenance and repair of heavy rigid vehicles including brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulics, and fabrication.
We are an essential services industry, offering stability to employees and reliability to our customers. You will enjoy family friendly hours; as well as great pay rates - particularly for those interested in overtime or additional work! Applications from 3rd or 4th year HV Apprentices also encouraged.
ABOUT YOU Have trade qualifications as a Truck Mechanic - Heavy Commercial Vehicles Demonstrate an exceptional eye for detail Complete pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing Have a HR and forklift license (preferred but not essential) Have a good mechanical aptitude Demonstrate a professional and outcome focus Work well individually and as part of a team Want to be part of a culture of learning and continuous improvement Be dedicated and reliable; we are an essential services industry Demonstrate the ability to build rapport and relationships with all stakeholders Be dedicated to achieving high standards of safety compliance and customer service BENEFITS We celebrate our people by providing a safe and professional workplace so you can enjoy what you do every day.
