Meat Wrapper

POSITION SUMMARYLabels, wraps and displays meat merchandise. Stocks display case and rotates merchandise. Inspects and reassembles equipment for use. Performs routine maintenance for machinery and equipment. Cleans and sanitises work area throughout the day as well as performs duties that comply with the health code. Follows proper safety procedures and standards. Job Duties/Essential FunctionsInspects and reassembles equipment sanitised previous nightReworks display case and rotates merchandiseTakes large trays of packaged meat from large wheeled rack and places individual packages into automatic wrapping machineFollows safety and security proceduresLabels merchandise and puts wrapped and labelled merchandise in display case Operates meat grinderFollows proper department production procedures and standards for quality and consistency of finished merchandise Cleans and sanitises area throughout the day. Performs duties to comply with health codePerforms routine maintenance for machinery, equipmentFollows Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) guidelines as it refers to proper cleaning and sanitation of all equipment required by this positionCompletes and complies with 11 Commandments of Quality Assurance, Food Safety Certification, and all safety training required by warehouse and Meat departmentAssists in other departments of the warehouse as necessaryProvides and ensures prompt and courteous member service to members, employees and vendors. Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machineryCommercial grinder, wheeled racks, wrapping machine and pressure washer.Qualifications (Costco-specific or industry specific skills that candidates should possess):Education/Training: High School Certificate Licenses/Certifications: None Experience/Skills: Comparable experience.* If successful, you will be required to undertake role & department specific training within specified timeframes
