Territory Generation is the largest producer of electricity in the Northern Territory with assets from Alice Springs to Darwin.
We use gas, diesel and solar technologies to provide power across the Territory.
Your New Role As the Materials Procurement Specialist at Territory Generation, your core responsibility will be the timely procurement and delivery of materials catalogued in the ERP PRONTO System inventory of approx.
13,000 lines to the value of approx.
A$21.5M with particular emphasis on total cost of ownership reductions.
Your accountabilities include: The development and implementation of end-to-end strategic sourcing processes across Territory Generation, including provision of expert advice and assistance on contract administration and management.Ensure materials and material repairs are procured compliant with governance, internal controls, policies and procedures, standards and legislative requirements.Work to prescribed delivery demands and ensure lead times meet the demands and expedite where required.
Requires close working relationship with the Materials Officers on sites, Asset Group, Maintenance and Operations.Develop strategic relationships with suppliers and manage those relationships ensuring spend is optimized.Work closely with and make recommendations to the Contract and Procurement Specialists in developing agreements for materials to reduce transactions in the procure to pay process.Participate in the tendering and negotiation frameworks within contract development.Provide support to the Materials Officers on matters to do with procurement and supplier relationship management.Identify and recommend changes to the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to service providers and undertake system testing of new system improvements.Manage and process customs clearances on behalf of Territory Generation.Your skills & experience: Extensive knowledge of the materials management processes.Knowledge and experience in managing materials contracts and in providing procurement / contract advice and reports.Well-developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation and facilitation skills with the ability to interact effectively with people of different cultures and develop effective stakeholder relationships.High level of motivation, initiative and drive to progress work including the ability to identify, implement and document improved work practices, combined with conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills of a high order.Understands and facilitates continuous improvement initiatives developed through supplier relationships with acumen to develop further and implement.Proven ability to provide high level training and advice on procurement and contract management.Ability to prioritise and manage competing demands and deliver outcomes.Ability to carry out duties in accordance with Territory Generation's safety, environmental and quality policies and corporate values and strategies.Desirable skills & experience: Relevant Tertiary qualifications.Experience in dealing with international suppliers including freight and customs.Working knowledge of Pronto Enterprise Resource Planning system (or similar) and process especially in Materials Management and Procurement.This is a fixed term role and requires Australian Citizenship/Permanent Residency or other eligible visa type.
