About the Business Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll have direct and regular contact with the sales team ensuring marketing and sales strategies are aligned effectively driving growth. Additionally, you'll have access to a wider marketing function that supports multiple manufacturing businesses and a national network of trade counters for building supplies, all of which form part of a growing and highly successful PLC. The role offers all the benefits associated with working for a PLC but with ample opportunity for your own decision making that can sometimes get lost in large organisations.

Job Purpose We are looking to recruit a proactive and market-focused B2B marketing manager into a well-established building products manufacturer to work closely with the sales team to drive growth. Knowledge of the building/construction industry would get you off to a great start, but data analysis is a big part of this job so experience in this is essential. Although this role has a lean towards data analysis and interpretation, it will also be varied and hands-on. Yes, planning and seeing the bigger picture is key but you'll also need to be results-driven with the tenacity to get stuck in and deliver tactical campaigns through channels and mechanisms that you determine appropriate. As a standalone marketing role, you'll have support from the wider team, but you are there as the marketing expert to make a difference from day one, so this is a great position for anyone looking to make something their own.
Given the nature of this role, the business it sits within, and its position within a wider PLC, building solid working relationships with all stakeholders is key to your success. You'll find yourself interacting with customers, suppliers, marketing agencies, and of course colleagues within your direct business and across the wider group.
Whats needed from you Degree or CIM educated, you'll have several years' experience in B2B marketing roles, ideally within building products manufacturing, housebuilders, or the construction industry.Embracing data and insights from different sources, such as CRM systems, third-party, and online analytics should motivate you and provide you confidence that your campaigns are based on fact.You'll be able to demonstrate that you are customer-focused, aligning plans and campaigns directly back to segmented audiences.Seeing the bigger picture and being commercially minded will come naturally to you, so you'll understand business objectives and turn them into tangible marketing activities.Bringing new products to market should excite you as a great opportunity to prove not only your marketing skills but team working and collaboration across a whole business to achieve a unified goal.You'll be naturally enthusiastic, self-motivated, resilient, and above all a great communicator.
