The Data Scientist will drive internal data analytics projects serving all areas of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
You will lead the development of high-quality briefings, reports, submissions, and correspondence.
Your role will involve translating program insights and data findings into actionable narratives for executives.
Utilize various data storage platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Azure Synapse, SQL Server, and Oracle databases to effectively manage and analyze large datasets, ensuring data quality and accessibility.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including both technical and non-technical teams, to understand the business needs of end users.
You will translate complex technical concepts into clear insights for non-technical audiences.
Analyse both structured and unstructured datasets, leveraging advanced analytical techniques to derive meaningful insights.
You will address complex business challenges with actionable data-driven solutions.
Document your data analysis methodologies in a clear and reproducible manner.
This includes detailing data sources, pre-processing steps, the techniques applied, as well as the rationale behind key decisions and assumptions, and any limitations or caveats.
Apply cutting-edge technologies such as Power BI, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and programmatic logic (including advanced conditional operations and regular expressions) to solve complex problems, extract insights, and address data quality issues.
Develop and implement robust data solutions using programming languages like Python, SQL, and DAX in Power BI.
Familiarity with R is a plus, though not essential.
To succeed in the role you will have:
Proven experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or in a similar role, with a track record of managing and analyzing large datasets.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Azure Synapse, SQL Server, and Oracle databases.
Expertise in data analysis techniques and tools, including Power BI, Python, SQL, and DAX.
Familiarity with R is a plus.
Solid understanding of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data visualization techniques.
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into actionable data solutions.
Strong communication skills, including experience preparing and presenting reports, briefings, and other documentation for senior executives.
Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and work independently.
A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience with advanced data processing techniques and machine learning models.
Experience in public sector data environments or government agencies.
A strong understanding of data privacy, security, and governance.
