Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of the Research Impact and Performance Strategy for Charles Darwin University (CDU) About the Position
Reporting to the Director Research and Innovation, as the Manager – Research Reporting and Performance, you will provide high level advice and support to the Director and all levels of academic and professional staff in relation to the University research performance, assessment and reporting of research quality, and the societal, economic, health and environmental impacts of the research conducted at CDU.
You will be responsible for managing the implementation and development of the University's Research Impact and Performance Strategy as well as supporting the work undertaken by the Planning and Performance team on international ranking strategy. The Manager – Research Reporting and Performance manages the research analytics function within the Office of Research and Innovation, which is responsible for the research performance analysis and reporting of the University. The position requires specialised skills in research analytics and strengths in working, communicating and collaborating across the University to achieve results.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience, or experience and expertise in the assessment and reporting of research excellence/quality and impact.Specialised skills in research analytics and a demonstrated proficiency in relevant software applications with high level ability to manipulate datasets from a range of sources and assure high data quality standards.Awareness and understanding of the activities, objectives and strategic direction of higher education and research enterprises in the current and emerging global contexts, including knowledge and understanding of research quality and impact assessment international ranking systems and higher education research quality and assessment issues.Demonstrated knowledge of data management practices, high-level computer, problem-solving and analytic skills, communication and stakeholder liaison skills.Demonstrated ability to lead the development, implementation and evaluation of high-level strategy in a complex organisational setting, including the ability to work closely with staff and leaders to develop and implement strategy.Strong leadership skills including the ability to negotiate, motivate, influence and build relationships with academic and professional staff of all levels.High level project management skills, including the ability to achieve objectives operating within complex organisation structures, and multiple stakeholder settings.Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 9. The base salary will be in the range of $119,610 – $126,324 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $139,943 - $147,799 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
