Details of the offer

As Hub Manager, you will:• Lead and manage the delivery of the manufacturing hub services on behalf of DRDMW and its partner agencies, including:- Deliver on the Manufacturing Hub Delivery Model and key focus areas for the hub.- Develop workplans and stakeholder engagement plans and implement.- Liaison with industry partners, local businesses, local governments, economic development agencies and education institutions to lead the growth of regional manufacturing.- Linking business and industry to skills development and training programs.- Assisting manufacturers to access relevant advanced manufacturing programs and to Queensland and Australian government programs.- Provide an effective exchange to inform policy/program development and service delivery responses on behalf of Government.- Support regional leadership and capacity building to deliver on broader economic priorities of regional communities.- Project facilitation and investment attraction - to pursue and provide guidance of opportunities that deliver on the competitive and comparative advantages of regional Queensland.• Represent and advocate for the Department and its various interests at a high level including with key regional stakeholders to ensure that the government's manufacturing hub objectives are well understood:- Pursue opportunities to lead the growth of regional manufacturing, particularly those which require high levels of coordination and collaboration to bring to reality.- Undertake effective communication of the Hub's role.• Demonstrate commitment to the Department's corporate values and foster an environment of strong customer service, teamwork, open communication, leadership and innovation.• Ensure that the manufacturing hub and team comply with the Department's management systems and that the practices are consistent with 'best practice', Government policies and legislative requirements.• Perform other tasks as required by Executive Director and team members.• Other duties as directed and requiredApplications to remain current for 12 months.
