Our purpose: Life a member of the Global Meeting Planning Center of Excellence, this role will collaborate with their global peers in the development and execution of an outstanding meeting planning function, ensuring excellence and consistency with the customer experience. This role will be responsible for leading a team of Meeting Planners primarily supporting cross business Medical Education programs for Smith & Nephew.What will you be doing?Lead staffing, training, performance, comentorand ongoing development of meeting planners.Drive improvements and consistency in the delivery of our medical education activities across the regionAccountable that event planning is compliant with Company and Industry guidelines e.g.EUCOMED, CNOM, MDEON, Open Payments, S&N Code of Conduct and GPPsManage the event from start to finish in terms of logistics (venue, travel, transfers, branding, event App, meals, hotel, instrumentation needed...) within the assigned budget and the local rules.Coordinate, manage and should be the main point of contact for delegates during a course.Work closely with the Medical Education Directors and Program managers to deliver regional training and support national events as the need arises.What will you need to be successful?Degree in the field of medical technology, health management, business administration, digital communication, project management or other technical or science career7+ years of experience planning and executing educational events with 5 plus years in the medical device or healthcare experience would be preferred.Ability to lead functional teams or projects, or proven track record managing a team.Good influencing, negotiating and conflict resolution skills, professional and personalTo apply, please ensure that you include a cover letter addressing it to Talent Acquisition Lead ANZ.
