The 4.5-star Mercure Port of Echuca is within walking distance to the paddle steamers, old port area, shopping district, restaurants, and bars. With its function facilities, resort style pool area and central location, the hotel has everything for both business and leisure guests alike. Franchised with Accor, the current owner has held this iconic business for 15 years. The successful candidate will be a dedicated, hard-working, and hands-on hospitality management professional with a passion for driving sales, growing and developing teams, managing costs, ensuring budget profit margins and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:A passion for tourism and hospitality, with previous management experience.Accommodation, conferencing and events management experience in a highly competitive market with a strong comprehension of revenue and yield management principles.Proven ability to maximise profitability through effective cost management and driving sales.Strong leadership skills, ability to lead and grow a team.Outstanding communication (verbal & written), and exceptional time management.Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of hospitality business operations, with a strong financial acumen.Willingness to take a hands-on management approach to grow and develop, motivate and lead a professional and dynamic team, across all departments.A focus and commitment to delivering high standards of service and product quality to consistently exceed customer expectations whilst ensuring best practices are achieved.Previous working knowledge of various PMS, POS, Channel Management, OPERA Cloud and accounting systems.
