The role This is a role for a Management Accountant who doesn't want to be seen as a traditional number-cruncher, someone who demonstrates ownership and initiative in upholding the accuracy and reliability of our financial information, and actively supports our ambitious strategic goals.
In our administration team, we operate on the belief that we're here to support our internal customers, not the other way around.
We're searching for an individual who shares this view - someone with a dedicated attitude towards working closely with our internal customers, playing a crucial role in the continued success of our growing business.
The person in this role will be based at our office in southern Tasmania.
It's a full-time, permanent role, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
The role will include the normal stuff - completing month-end accounts, supporting the Finance Officer with management of accounts payable/receivable, preparation of payroll, assisting with end of year processes, forecasting, budgeting, and re-forecasting.
You will also have the opportunity to assist with business analytics and project-related accounting tasks.
About You We're looking for someone who is excited about this opportunity and driven to do well.
What is important is that you have: Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong time-management and planning skills to ensure deadlines are met.
Excellent problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
High degree of computer literacy, including software such as Xero and MS Excel.
Business degree (or similar), preferably majoring in accounting.
Solid accounting skills, with at least 2-4 years experience.
