Maintenance Tradesperson or Apprentice Located in Smithton Britton Timbers is a 117 year old company and one of Tasmania's largest privately owned sawmills and processors of speciality timbers and veneers. We are currently seeking expressions of interest from candidates who are interested in joining our maintenance team. The role involves preventative maintenance, repair & servicing of our plant & equipment in our green mill, kilns, dry mill & mobile machinery, and general fabrication. Britton Timbers operates on a 38 hour week (Mon to Fri) with overtime required to work around production requirements. Essential Attributes: A good mechanical aptitude Excellent time management Ability to work under minimal supervision & work under pressure Hold a valid driver's licence Desired Attributes: Forklift licence Working at heights Confined space Experienced in Hydraulics and pneumatics Trades Certificate We are seeking either suitably qualified persons or persons willing to undertake an apprenticeship.
