About the Role An outstanding opportunity has become available for a Leading Hand to join our Tarrawonga site in the Maintenance team. The Leading Hand will be employed under a roster of 4/5/5/4 alternating day & night 12-hour shifts What You'll Do Assist in leading the maintenance crew of up to 12 workers, providing guidance and proactive leadership skills. Complete planned, unplanned, and corrective maintenance tasks Ensure compliance to Whitehaven Coals Occupational Health and Safety Standard is being met. Ensure that all incidents, accidents and hazards are reported and are followed up correctly to minimise and manage risk. Inspect equipment and raise job requests on any defective parts/components found. Step up to supervise during planned shutdowns. What You'll Bring Hold a Certificate III in Mechanical, Auto Electrical, Electrical or Heavy Fabrication (Trade Certificate). Experience in a leading hand position. Able to communicate effectively. Demonstrate good time management. Significant experience in heavy equipment.
