PURPOSE AND SCOPE Amentum has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Specialist to join their team based in the town of Alice Springs on a full time basis.
Reporting to the Operations lead - Logistics you will perform a variety of duties such as the moving of domestic and commercial furniture and equipment to their residential properties and associated facilities.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities/Duties Transport furniture and white goods between warehouses and residential properties using various modes of equipment and transport Perform a range of inventory related transactions within a Logistics management system (SAP) Report observed discrepancies in stock levels, transactions, and serial numbers Correctly process returns and repairs Conduct excess and/or unserviceable goods reporting and control Perform physical warehouse inventory stock takes, documenting and certifying results and reconciling discrepancies Use of computer systems to record times and read emails Other tasks as required QUALIFICATIONS Ability to work within a team environment Ability to work within a team environment Ability to work professionally with minimal supervision Ability to work professionally with minimal supervision Desirable Vocational training and qualifications in Logistics related fields Training in appropriate safety procedures Inventory management experience Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights, Personal Protective Equipment, Dangerous Goods Person license TICKETS AND LICENCES Current Drivers' Licence

EXPERIENCE – Minimum Essential 2-3 years of Warehousing experience WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND MENTAL DEMANDS Working at the Housing and Leasing services facility in the logistics area, a reasonable level of fitness is required and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and a willingness to be flexible is essential.
