Learning Team Leader – GAS About Us Jemena is an Australian energy company who owns and operates over $11.5 Billion worth of gas and electricity transportation assets across Australia supplying millions of households and businesses with essential services every day. About the role: The Learning Team leader will provide leadership to the Gas Services training coordination team.Working closely with the business to enact the annual training plan, whilst ensuring compliance with the Company's training policy, and relevant industry frameworks and legislation. This role will have oversight of training budgets and will undertake audit activity as required and monthly reporting to the Gas business.Ongoing continuous improvement of training coordination and opportunities to reduce costs will be a significant responsibility.The training team leader will also build productive relationships with the relevant training providers. Your responsibilities will include: People leadership: Reward and recognise excellent performance and manage people with performance gaps. Understand your employees' needs, focus on growth and learning, seek to provide development experiences and opportunities. Reporting and Budgeting Provide monthly reporting to the relevant business unit. Manage training costs and budgets in close partnership with relevant managers and finance. Lead auditing process on team's training records. Raise purchase orders & requisitions. Internal Controls and Risk manager Manage training records and attendance as required by legislation and internal policies. Ongoing ownership of improvement initiatives Prepare for and represent during any compliance audits, investigations etc Assisting in developing annual training plans with your team Policy and Systems Ensure compliance with national training procedures and processes. Produce accurate & timely reports on training compliance. Participate on technical committees, planning forums, etc. in relation to training matters. Experience: Extensive Technical Training, understanding and experience within utility sector or similar. Extensive understanding and experience within the utility sector Demonstrated record of planning, leading and achieving organisational objectives and outcomes High ability to produce clear, concise and accurate reporting. High ability to implement and lead strategic initiatives. Significant success and experience in building, influencing and maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. About you: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (preferred) or relevant tertiary qualification Proven skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP Knowledge of the AQF and National Training Packages as they relate to the Gas Industry Understanding of relevant industry training requirements Understanding of relevant legislation as it applies to safety and training. SuccessFactors LMS, other LMS and Training related systems and record keeping systems. This role can be located in either Sydney or Melbourne. Why you should come and work for us.
