We are currently seeking a Learning Support Officer who is able to commence Term 1, 2025. Successful applicants will work with students in a range of settings, including individually, in small groups and within learning centres.
Our Learning Support Officers work in partnership with teachers and the Learning Diversity Leader, to implement the adjustments outlined for students in their Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs).
Applicants should be able to demonstrate an ability to: Build and maintain positive working relationships with staff and studentsProvide support to individuals or small groups of students with learning and/or social-emotional challengesShow initiative and be resourceful in solving problems, when requiredPossess a high level of patience and emotional maturity in order to manage students with significant levels of learning or behavioural challengesTeach Intervention Programs as assigned and record session notesDemonstrate an understanding of the work of Catholic schools and a willingness to actively contribute to a range of school activitiesBe prepared to assist with toileting and other health needsRefer all parental concerns and requests to the class teacher for decisionsOur community is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.
Special Requirements Certificate III or IV in Education SupportPrevious primary school experience in this role is a distinct advantageCurrent Police and Working With Children CheckChild Safety: Be familiar with and comply with the school's child safe policy and code of conduct and any other policies and procedures relating to child safety.
