Position DetailsAbout UsThe Supreme Court of Victoria is the highest court in Victoria and comprises the Court of Appeal and the Trial Division. We continually strive to create a high-performance workplace that is characterized by creativity, innovation, flexibility, and quality delivery.About the Role Work collaboratively with the JV team and the Supreme Court and County Court judicial staff to meet the demands of jury trials and support citizens through their jury journey.Perform a range of administrative and quasi-legal tasks, such as answering telephone calls, responding to email enquiries, conducting audits, maintaining electronic and hardcopy records and using the Juries Act to assess the eligibility and availability of Victorian citizens randomly selected for jury service.Provide excellent customer service when attending to telephone, email and counter enquiries.Assist in the instruction, direction, organisation, balloting and escorting of prospective jurors, to and from court.Liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, such as associates, tipstaves and jurors.Occasional travel to regional courts across Victoria to assist in the coordination of jury empanelments at those locations. About YouTo be successful in this role, you must be able to demonstrate the following: Excellent customer service.Enthusiasm in delivering information to groups.Ability to work collaboratively with the team to achieve the collective goals.Ability to speak clearly and concisely when providing information to key stakeholders and deal with challenging behaviour firmly but politely.Organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks.Experience working in an office environment is highly regarded.This role is predominately based on-site.
