This position will be based in Charters Towers, Queensland.
The role of a junior sales assistant is to support the day-to-day operations of the retail store, contribute to customer satisfaction and help drive sales by providing excellent service and assistance to shoppers.
Hours:Availability to work weekends is a must.
After-school work may also be available if required.
Saturday: 8:40am - 2:10pmSunday: 9:35am - 1:10pmAs a junior sales assistant you will be responsible for:
Cash handling and processing paymentsParticipating in training and development activitiesGreeting and assisting customers promptly and courteouslyEnsuring the store is clean, tidy and well-presented at all timesWork collaboratively with colleagues to achieve store goals and objectivesResponding to customer inquiries, providing product information, and offering recommendations as neededAssisting with stock replenishment, including unpacking deliveries, shelving products, and maintaining organised displaysA willingness to learnA dedication to accuracyCash handling and basic math skillsFamiliarity with basic computer skills, point-of-sale systems, or other relevant technology, even if gained outside of a traditional retail settingStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, customers, and higher managementAny hobbies, interests, or coursework related to retail products, fashion, or similar areas that demonstrate a passion for learning about different products and their featuresAbout W.
