Junior Hydrogeologist | Perth Or Brisbane

In this role, you'll work with our national Mine Water team as a Junior Hydrogeologist to support the team as they undertake hydrogeological assessments and successfully manage and contribute to projects with a hydrogeological focus.

We have a comprehensive understanding of the mining industry and current issues including decarbonisation and understand future ready strategies are critical to countering these issues, capitalising on opportunities, and adding value to businesses.
What you'll do: Coordinate design and documentation with other engineering services and with other team members.Carry out assigned project and design work as delegated in support of technical and commercial standards.Prepare reports for clients on matters relating to hydrogeology.Communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders.Undertake hydrogeological assessments including the interpretation of data, site investigation planning and coordination, conceptualisation, and reporting.Potential to undertake field work.Provide technical input into groundwater investigations, management, and impact assessments.Develop groundwater models.Draft technical reports.Drive innovation in our practice with new techniques, workflows, and ideas.About you: Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geosciences.Excellent technical report writing and data interpretation skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal communication abilities.Experience delivering hydrogeological investigations is preferred.Exposure to a diverse range of groundwater modelling software and calibration utilities is preferred.Experience using GIS and other software to visualise data and model outputs.About WSP: WSP is one of the world's leading engineering professional services firms, bringing together approximately 6,000 talented people across 15 offices in Australia.
